
Attorney David Betras, Senior Partner at Betras, Kopp & Harshman, LLC, directs the firm’s non-litigation activities. His primary responsibilities include resolving clients’ personal injury and medical malpractice claims before a lawsuit is filed. David also practices criminal defense law in both the state and federal courts. He is certified to try death penalty cases.

BRIAN PATRICK KOPP

Attorney Brian Kopp one of the founding partners of Betras, Kopp & Harshman, LLC, is licensed to practice in Ohio and Florida. Prior to joining the firm in 1997, Brian served as a federal law clerk to U.S. District Judge Peter C. Economus, an experience that laid the foundation for his legal career. When he began practicing he focused on civil cases and federal criminal trial work. In 1999 Attorney Kopp, who was 29 years old at the time, won his first wrongful death verdict in the case Katherine Biles vs. Warren General Hospital. Following that victory he began handling increasingly complex civil and criminal matters.
MICHAEL STEWART HARSHMAN

Attorney Michael S. Harshman graduated from The Ohio State University and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law. Board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, Michael has been admitted to practice in all courts of Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas; the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida; the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio; and the Supreme Court of the United States. Michael has also received certification from the Supreme Court of Florida in Family Mediation and in Circuit Civil Mediation.
