FRANK CASSESE
CONNECT WITH BKH
Attorney Frank Cassese, a lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley, is a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and the Ohio State University. He received his Juris Doctorate in 2014 from the Cleveland Marshall School of Law and joined Betras, Kopp and Harshman in 2015.
Attorney Cassese completed an internship with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, clerked for Mahoning County Common Pleas Judge John Durkin and worked with Attorney Brian Kopp at Debartolo Sports and Entertainment, Inc. before joining BKH. He also helped manage The MVR Club, the landmark Youngstown restaurant that is owned by his family.
Managing Partner David Betras noted that Attorney Cassese has outstanding credentials and talents and could have practiced outside the area. “Fortunately for us, our clients, and our community they decided to return home after law school, so they could help Valley families fight for justice,” Attorney Betras said.
“We believe, and the thousands of people who call on us to represent them obviously agree, that it’s important to hire a law firm that is based in our region,” Attorney Betras said. “Frank, like the attorneys in our Mahoning Valley office, grew up here and lives here. We all understand the culture of the community, we know the local courts, and we’re never more than a phone call away. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our local presence means a lot to the clients who entrust us with their case and that has always been a key factor in our ability to take on and beat the nation’s largest insurance companies,” Mr. Betras said.
Attorney Brian Kopp, leader of BKH’s complex litigation team, stated that his new colleague has demonstrated an intense interest in catastrophic personal injury matters, medical malpractice cases and complicated business litigation. “Frank possesses the work ethic that is characteristic of Valley residents. He’s willing to put in the long hours it takes to properly handle difficult cases,” Attorney Kopp said, “I am fortunate that this talented young lawyer has joined our team, and I look forward to their continued development.”
